Abstract:
The synthetic strategy of condensed indenes involves the formation of enamine followed by heterolyclization, thus indan-1,3-dione (1) was condensed with acetophenone hydrazone to produce [3-(2-(1-phenyl ethyl)hydrazonyl)-1H-inden-1-one] (2) (Scheme 1).
