Chemical and Biological Studies on Some Nitrogen Heterocyclic Compounds

In this work we prepare 5-substituted-3-methoxy-2-hydroxybenzyaldehyde thiosemicarbazones (2a,b) via the condensation of 5-substituted-3-methoxy-2-hydroxybenzyaldehydes (1a,b) with thiosemicarbazide in methanol under reflux.
