Abstract:
Seventeen phenolic constituents were individually isolated and identified from the methanolic extract of licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra L.) roots (Protocatechuic acid, Vanillic acid, Benzoic acid, quercetin-3-O-α-rhamnosyl(1→6)-β-glucoside (Rutin), QuercetiOn the other hand, the methanolic extracts of licorice roots and Clove flowers buds have been subjected to certain (in vitro) biological studies including the evaluation of the antioxidant activity against the stable free radical DPPH, cytotoxic activity
