Abstract:	A Bayesian approach is used to make inferences, given samples of observations from distributions which have a non-linear failure rate. Complete, hyper-censored type II and censored type II samples are considered and inferences are made on the unknown parameters of the failure distribution and then for the failure rate. Informative and non-informative priors will be used and a numerical illustration will be carried out.
