FUEL LOADING FOLLOW UP IN EGYPT SECOND RESEARCH REACTOR

ABSTRACTEgypt possessed a second research reactor (ET-RR-2) of the MTR type. As a result of the reactor operation, the fuel is burned and fission products are produced. In Egypt second research reactor, the fuel consumption necessitates the replacement of two fuePrior to the loading process, sophisticated calculations using complicated computer codes should be performed. The calculations should guarantee that the fuel design and safety criteria are fulfilled on one hand. On the other hand the calculations should The present work deals with these calculations.
