STUDIES ON HEMICELLULOSE AND LIGNIN EXTRACTED FROM DIFFERENT PLANTS

ABSTRACTThrough this study viscose and paper grade pulps were prepared by using friendly ecological chemicals. The raw materials that had been used were depithed bagasse , barked and debarked cotton stalks. And then produce writing and printing paper from indigenThe study was divided into three parts: the first part was focused on preparing the viscose grade pulp, and study the effect of addition of hemicellulose on physicomechanical properties of the pulp. The second part was focused on evaluation of lignin whicBoth lignins and pulps were studied via infrared spectroscopic analysis, X-ray diffraction,(TGA) thermogravimetric analysis and (DTA) differential thermal analysis.
