Abstract:
The Present thesis is an investigation of the protons ans antiprotons Scattering by hydrogen atoms using the coupledchannel method The first chapter is an introduction in which we,have given a brief account of a historical background of the ionatom collisIn the second chapter,we have calculated the matrix elements of interaction that has been used in the calculation of the elastic and inelastic scattering cross section of the elastic and inelastic scattering cross ection of the protons and antiprotons colfive-state approximations)the numerical solution of the System of coupled differential equations arising from the impact parameter method has been discussed. Finally we have discussed the results with the figures whose explaining it.It is noticed that the effect of the sign of the projectile charge increases as the number of coupled channels increases.the effects of the coupled channel and the sign of the projectile charge can be neglected at high energies because all the methods con
