Abstract:
barbituric acid catlpJunds. The aim of investigation and the ~statement of the problem are included in this chapter.tical data of barbituric acid (H2L) complexes give Fe(HL)3.H2o, Co(HL)3.CL, Ni(HL)3.Cl, CuJ”.2H20and Cu(HL)2.2H20. Thiobarbiituric acid (H2L) ligand gives Fe (HL) 3. 2H20, Co (HL) 2 .Cl, Ni (IDJ) 2·Cland Cu(HL)2.H20 complexes. 5-(phenylazo)-barbituric acid (H2L) forms Fe(t~)3.2H20, Co(HL)2.2H20, CoL. 2H20,NiL. 2H20, Cu(Ill”) 2’ H20 and CuL. 2H20 complexes. However, 5barbituric acid, (H3L), gives Fe(HL)3’ Co(HL).2H20, Ni(HL) .2H20 andCu(HL) .2H20 complexes. 5-(o-carboxyphenylazo)-barbituric acid ligand, (H3L),produces Co(HL) 2. 2H20, Ni(IIL).2H20, Cu(HL) 2’2Hp and Cu (HL) .2H20 complexes. On the other hand, 5 (Ophenylazo)-barbituric acid, (H2L),ligand forms Fe(HL)3.H20, CO(HL)2.3H20, NiOIL) 2. 3H20 and CuL.3H20 complexes.The 5methoxyphenylazo)-barbituric acid (H2L) ligand gives Co(HL)2’ 2H20, NiL. 2Hp and CuL. 2H20 complexes.The 5- (oazo)-barbituric acid,(H2L)~forms (Co)2L.H20, NiL.2H20, CuL.3H20 .
