Abstract:
In a previous article (Fuzzy Sets and Systems 30 (1989) 175-191), we introduced the productivity classes of fuzzy topological spaces (fts's), and other special classes of fts's. Those are intimately related to the productivity properties of fuzzy closure and fuzzy interior operators. We here provide a number of necessary and sufficient conditions on a fts to be a member of one of those classes. We use those characterizations to establish that each one of our classes of fts's is closed under products and quotients in the category of fuzzy topological spaces.
