TREATMENT OF INDUSTRIAL WASTEW ATER OFSOME FACTORIES AT EL-ASHER OF RAMADAN CITY

El-Asher of Ramadan city has about three hundred textile and dyeing factories , textile factories are completey different in the finishing processes and yhe of dye used. Txtile factories are discharging highly coloured wastewater reaching about 80,000m3/dIn this work, chemical treatment of the textile wastewater from textile factories at EL-ASHER of Ramadam city was carried out using different coagulants. The best coagulant found was ferrous sulphate & hydrogen peroxide in an acidic medium [ph=4].The use Finally, an economic evaluation of the method adopted indicated that, the costs of this chemical treatment are far less compared to the costs of other treatment processes.
