TAXONOMIC STUDIES ON CAESALPINIOIDEAE

This study is devoted to survey the exomorphology, surface scan characteristics and the endomorphology of the testa by using both the scanning electron microscope (SEM) and the light microscope (LM), as well as protein electrophoretic patterns of seeds ofThis study aims to revealing further seed characters, which may be very useful in further distinction of the taxa studied and to define those characters, which are likely to be of most use in the systematics of the subfamily. It also constitutes an atlas The different seed exomorphological and endomorphological attributes of the studied taxa are presented in the form of cumulative tables, photomicrograph and plates, as well as photographic pictures of seed protein electrophoretic profiles.
