A technological sample of gibbsite ore material about 40% Al(OH)3 was collected from Abu Zeneima area in west central Sinai . This sample assays 1.01% Cu, 0.43 Zn and 0.04% U. The present work is mainly concerned with the chemical processing of this ore mIn the Alkali leaching , Bayer process of leaching alumina with caustic soda was applied to the ore after addition of some ¬Na2CO3 to leach U simultaneously . In this technique, Cu and Zn were left behind to be later acid leached . Uranium can be recovereAll the obtained data are finally formulated in the form of two integrated flowsheets. The first is a single-leach flowsheet whlie the second is a double-leach flowsheet .
