Abstract:
The aim of this work is to delineate the detailed structural features affecting Bahariya section using the available seismic reflection data and to determine the different reservoir parameters characterizing the pay zone utilizing well log data and core aAghar oil field is located in West Razzak concession, North Western Desert of Egypt, 66 km southwest of El-Hamra terminal on the Mediterranean coast. The area is located between latitudes 30° 27’ and 30° 33’ N and longitudes 28° 18’ and 28° 24’ E.Bahariya Formation is the main producing horizon in Aghar oil field. It is represented by fine to very fine-grained sandstone, well sorted, sub-angular to sub-rounded, alternated with shales and limstones. It is divided into two zones, Upper and Lower, eaThe used seismic data are represented by 25 survey lines of seismic reflection sections, which traversed the study area in northeast-southwest and northwest-southeast directions. The total length of these sections is about 250 km. The logging data of 5 weThe used seismic data are used to study the structure framework of Aghar area in terms of structure contour maps constructed on the tops of Bahariya and Alamein formations. Moreover, the hydrocarbon evaluation of Bahariya Formation was carried out. The to
